On November 19-21 we travelled to Washington DC to attend the 76th Annual Meeting of the APS DFD (American Physical Society’s Division of Fluid Dynamics). The Aircraft Operations Lab from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid was represented by Álvaro Moreno Soto, who presented an approach to weather prediction, leveraging Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs).
PERSEVERE Project
Álvaro Moreno Soto’s presentation was related to his research in the framework of the PERSEVERE project and emphasized the application of Physics-Informed Neural Networks in reconstructing weather patterns from information provided by a few weather stations.
This research is made possible through the PERSEVERE project, funded by the European Union under action HORIZON TMA MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships – European Fellowships, call HORIZON-MSCA-2021-PF-01
