Our team attended the XXVIII Aeronautical Awards ceremony of Fundación ENAIRE to receive the prize in the Aeronautical Innovation Award category (Premio de Innovación Aeronáutica – Luis Azcárraga).

The award ceremony was held on 29 January at the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility in Madrid, where the prize was handed over to the Aircraft Operations Lab trio formed by Fateme Baneshi, Abolfazl Simorgh and Manuel Soler. The award recognized their excellent work, entitled “Conflict assessment and resolution of climate-optimal aircraft trajectories at grid scale”, and highlighted the potential applications of this research to mitigate the carbon footprint of aviation, a key contribution to the ongoing fight against climate change.

José Antonio Santano, Secretary of State for Transport and Sustainable Mobility and President of Fundación ENAIRE, underlined the importance of these awards, which are “the opening of a path of excellence towards the future”.
