We are pleased to share that Raúl Quibén Figueroa, PhD researcher at the Aircraft Operations Lab (UC3M), has been awarded the Premio Innovación Aeronáutica Luis Azcárraga 2025, granted by Fundación ENAIRE.
The award recognises the paper “Feasibility studies on regional aircraft retrofitted with hybrid-electric powertrains”, co-authored with Andrea Cini and Rauno Cavallaro (Barcelona Supercomputing Center). The work addresses key challenges in the transition towards more sustainable air transport through innovative aircraft concepts and propulsion technologies.
This distinction highlights the quality and impact of the research carried out within the Aircraft Operations Lab and its contribution to advancing aeronautical innovation.
