Applicants must have completed their degree(s), be enrolled or pre-admitted to a doctoral program at a Madrid university, and meet specific academic and experience criteria. The FPU 2024-2027 Doctoral Scholarships, launched by the Ministry of Universities, are open to national and international candidates with an academic record of ~80% or higher. These scholarships aim to fund predoctoral research and teaching training at Spanish universities. The grants cover a four-year contract, with an extension to six years for applicants with disabilities. Recipients can also participate in research stays at foreign or national institutions to enhance their training and specialization. Additionally, those who complete their doctorate before the final year of funding can benefit from a Postdoctoral Orientation Period (POP). Applications for FPU 2024 are open from January 17 to February 14, 2025.
