Aspiring doctoral researchers have two excellent opportunities to secure funding for their academic journey: the PIPF2024 Grants and the FPU 2024 Doctoral Scholarships.

The PIPF2024 Grants, offered by the Community of Madrid, provide comprehensive financial support for predoctoral contracts at Madrid universities. These grants cover salaries, overseas research stays, and related costs for up to four years, with annual funding amounts increasing over time. Applicants must have completed their degree(s), be enrolled or pre-admitted to a doctoral program at a Madrid university, and meet specific academic and experience criteria. Applications must be submitted online via the Quadrivium platform by January 24, 2025. Supervisors must also meet eligibility requirements to submit applications on behalf of candidates.

The FPU 2024-2027 Doctoral Scholarships, launched by the Ministry of Universities, are open to national and international candidates with an academic record of ~80% or higher. These scholarships aim to fund predoctoral research and teaching training at Spanish universities. The grants cover a four-year contract, with an extension to six years for applicants with disabilities. Recipients can also participate in research stays at foreign or national institutions to enhance their training and specialization. Additionally, those who complete their doctorate before the final year of funding can benefit from a Postdoctoral Orientation Period (POP). Applications for FPU 2024 are open from January 17 to February 14, 2025.

Both programs offer significant chances for academic and professional growth. Don’t miss this opportunities to advance your research career!
