The UC3M’s Aerospace Engineering Department recently had the honor of hosting Emilio Viciana, Regional Minister for Education, Science and Universities of the Community of Madrid. His visit on February 5th was guided by Ángel Arias, the Rector of University Carlos III of Madrid, and marked a significant event for the Aircraft Operations Lab, as they experienced firsthand the capabilities of the our latest B737 flight simulator.
The two guests had the opportunity to immerse themselves in a simulated flight experience, taking off from Madrid Barajas Airport. As they navigated through the virtual skies, they gained insights into the intricate workings of aviation technology and the complexities of piloting an aircraft, experiencing what our Master’s and Bachelor’s students from the UC3M Aerospace Engineering Department are learning.

Emilio Viciana’s presence during the trial was particularly significant, as it provided a platform to showcase UC3M’s role as a leader in fostering innovation and excellence in higher education, and our commitment to providing students with hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for careers in the aerospace industry.
