Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral researcher at UC3M. He studied Aerospace Engineering in Universidad de Sevilla and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering in Technische Universität München, where he specialized in Fluid Mechanics and Aerodynamics… He continued his academic career at the Physics of Fluids group from the Universiteit Twente (The Netherlands), where he obtained his PhD in Physics of Fluids.
His first postdoctoral experience took place at Massachusetts Institute of Technology focusing on fluid mechanics events impacting electrochemical reactions. In 2021 he joined Universidad Carlos III de Madrid to return to the field of aerospace investigating machine learning tools to regularize and increase the experimental capabilities of aerodynamic and flow measurement experiments.
He is currently transitioning to the air transport management field, searching for machine learning applications aimed at weather forecast and flight planning. On his record, he has participated in numerous national and international conferences, and has published a total of 13 articles in prestigious journals in the field of fluid mechanics and a book.
