We completed the 23 Intercampus race

Last Sunday members of the Aircraft Operations Lab UC3M participated in the 23 Intercampus Race together with other researchers from the Airspace Engineering department.

This is a fun and healthy annual event for the department in which, on this occasion, our colleague Jaume achieved third place on the podium in the PDI/PAS 10km category and Manuel Sanjurjo got a 10th place. Javier García-Heras and Manuel Soler, both members of the Aircraft Operations Lab, also achieved great positions in this category: 13th and 20th, respectively. Also, in the female 5km category, Alison Ponche achieved a 41st place.

The race starts at the Leganés campus of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and ends at the Getafe campus, with a 10 km run on asphalt. The 5 km race runs from kilometre 5 of the route to the finish line (Getafe Campus).

The Intercampus race also has a solidarity tinge: this year it has once again collaborated with the Food Bank of the Community of Madrid, with the “Operation Kilo- Intercampus”. This has made it possible to collect food to donate to people in need in the Community of Madrid.

We also appeared on television! The TV station Telemadrid interviewed Manuel Soler at the end of the race. Watch it here.
