The Aerospace Department at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid is thrilled to announce two exciting PhD positions.
- Position 1: Trajectory optimization with application to formation flight – Ref. AERO-PhD-24-01: Explore the potential of commercial formation flight trajectory planning on both micro and macro levels.
- Position 2: Artificial Intelligence and meteorology with application to aviation – Ref. AERO-PhD-24-02: Develop the best AI architectures per weather phenomena impacting aviation to produce enhanced forecasts and/or nowcasts.
Successful candidates will enjoy a stimulating research environment, contributing to national and European projects like RefMap, KAIROS and STORM-ATS, . The positions offer access to the Spanish FPI scholarship and opportunities to teach and supervise student projects.
