Yesterday, April 7th, from 11:00 to 13:00, the UC3M hosted the 4th edition of the PhD Open Day in the Salón de Grados. Organized by the Airspace Engineering Department, the event once again proved to be a key moment in our academic year—offering valuable insights into the future of our doctoral program and celebrating the achievements of our growing alumni network.
As in previous editions, the event had a dual purpose:
- To present the PhD program, highlighting current research lines and the new doctoral opportunities planned for 2025 and 2026. Attendees had the opportunity to learn more about the lab’s ongoing projects and explore how they could contribute to the advancement of airspace engineering.
- To strengthen alumni connections, through a panel that showcased the career journeys of three former PhD students. This year, we were pleased to welcome:
- Antonio Almagro, now working as data scientist at TomTom
- Juan Manuel Catalán, CFD engineer at ITP
- Rodrigo Castellanos, currently a researcher and colleague in our own department
Their personal experiences offered meaningful guidance and inspiration to current PhD students and prospective candidates alike. We thank everyone who joined us for making this edition of the PhD Open Day a success, and we look forward to continuing to build a vibrant and engaged research community.
