The Aircraft Operations Lab with the Aerospace Engineering Department at UC3M is interested in identifying candidates who could join the lab through the 2026 Ramón y Cajal and Juan de la Cierva grant programmes. These calls offer opportunities for experienced researchers seeking to establish independent research lines and early-career researchers looking to develop their postdoctoral careers.
- Ramón y Cajal grant supports experienced researchers through five-year contracts, with annual employment funding of €42,600 and funding for an independent five-year research project requiring a minimum requested budget of €200,000 in direct costs. Candidates must generally have obtained their first PhD between 2016 and 2024, with an earlier eligibility window for the disability-access track.
Application period: from 10 November to 2 December 2026.

- Juan de la Cierva grant targets early-career postdoctoral researchers, offering three-year contracts and an additional €15,000 for research expenses. Candidates must generally have obtained their first PhD between 2024 and 2026, with an earlier window for the disability-access track, and must normally move to a different research centre from where they completed their predoctoral training.
