How can we efficiently handle uncertainties, perturbations on the control signal, control constraints and state delays? UC3M Aerospace Engineering PhD student Fateme Baneshi together with Valiollah Ghaffari and Manuel Soler answer this question in the research article “Non-fragile robust model predictive controller design for uncertain time-delay systems with input constraints”. ABSTRACT This paper addresses aContinue reading “New publication: “Non-fragile robust model predictive controller design for uncertain time-delay systems with input constraints””

New article: “Fast 4D flight planning under uncertainty through parallel stochastic path simulation”
In this publication, the Aircraft Operations Lab UC3M presents a novel flight planning methodology to generate weather-optimal 4D flight plans under uncertain conditions. The authors of the article are Daniel González-Arribas, Fateme Baneshi, Eduardo Andrés, Manuel Soler, Aniel Jardines and Javier García-Heras. ABSTRACT The Air Traffic Management system is evolving to deal with efficiency, capacity,Continue reading “New article: “Fast 4D flight planning under uncertainty through parallel stochastic path simulation””
New publication: “Conflict assessment and resolution of climate-optimal aircraft trajectories at network scale”
The second 2023 research paper within the Air Operations Lab was published by PhD student Fateme Baneshi and explores a way to reduce air traffic conflicts arising from attempts to mitigate the climate impact of aviation.
New publication: “Perturbed-analytic direct transcription for optimal control (PADOC)”
A new paper on trajectory optimisation has been written by PhD student Amin Jafarimoghaddam and professor Manuel Soler, and published by the Wiley online library.
