In line with the European Mobility Week and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Aircraft Operations Lab, represented by Manuel Soler, participated in an online session on September 22nd organised by UC3M.
The session addressed the challenge “Inteligencia Artificial para una LOGÍSTICA más eficiente” (Artificial Intelligence for more efficient logistics) and highlighted AI’s pivotal role in shaping the future of logistics. As businesses navigate the complexities of today’s world, it seems that embracing AI-driven solutions is becoming essential for enhancing efficiency, competitiveness, and contributing to a sustainable future in line with the SDGs.
Manuel Soler gave his point of view about this challenge from the aviation perspective. He sees regulation as one of the problems affecting artificial intelligence: “the use of AI in aeronautics requires ad hoc legislation, and that’s a barrier we have”, he said. He also mentioned the difficulties in accessing the data they are experiencing, since, he acknowledged, companies often put obstacles in the way of sharing them.
